 Family Link provides Family Navigators to assist parents or guardians of children with special needs in “navigating the system” of services available to the family.  A Family Navigator is a parent or primary caregiver of a child or youth who is currently or has in the past been involved in multiple child-serving agencies. The Family Navigator empowers other families caring for children with special needs by providing individual family-to-family support, education, advocacy, coaching, information and referral and follow-up.   The program offers information and referral services to families who request only those services.  Family Navigation services can be accessed by calling the 1-800 number to speak directly to a Family Navigator.  The program is anticipated to begin in November.
